Black Rock Physical Therapy provides orthopedic and spine injury treatment, pre and post surgery rehabilitation, hand therapy with custom splint fabrication, sports medicine, headache and neck pain programs, dry needling, vestibular and dizziness programs, cardiac rehabilitation, and workplace injury rehabilitation. Every patient receives a personalized treatment plan and a home exercise program.
Our clinic is at 163 UT-112 #101, Grantsville, UT 84029, on East Main Street. We are close to local physicians, which makes coordination of care simple for patients across Tooele County.

Your first visit begins with a conversation about your symptoms, medical history, and goals, followed by a thorough physical assessment. Your therapist then builds a personalized treatment plan and gives you a home exercise program to begin right away. Wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the area being treated, and bring your insurance card and photo ID.
Dry needling is a treatment for muscular pain and trigger points that uses thin needles to release tight bands of muscle tissue. At Black Rock Physical Therapy it is performed by therapists holding dry needling certification, including R. Brian Cragun, PT, DPT, Cert.DN, and John R. Elmer, PT, DPT, Cert.DN.
Yes. We have provided sports medicine services for more than 20 years and work with athletes in football, basketball, bow hunting, dance, and every sport in between. Our sports program covers injury prevention and biomechanics assessment, athletic injury treatment, performance training, Kinesio taping and dry needling for pain relief, and return to sport protocols developed with coaches and physicians.
Our hand therapy program addresses fractures, nerve compressions, rotator cuff injuries, tendon injuries, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and other causes of lost hand and upper extremity function. Services include custom splint fabrication, post surgical treatment, scar tissue management, and functional diagnostic testing.
Yes. Our Head and Neck Pain Program starts with an assessment of your medical history and lifestyle to find the root cause of chronic tension headaches and cervicogenic pain. Treatment interrupts the pain cycle using myofascial release, spinal mobilization, cervical traction, massage, and relaxation training, paired with education so results last.
Yes. Our vestibular and dizziness program includes balance training and fall prevention for patients experiencing dizziness, unsteadiness, or a history of falls. Many of our older patients use this program to stay independent and confident on their feet.
